I have to share with you this totally awesome little salad I made up the other day! So good!!! Everything is to taste; I use roughly equal quantities of quinoa and avocado (though a little heavier on the quinoa). And we use Nama Shoyu because in our opinion it’s so much better tasting than any other soy sauce or tamari out there!

Nama Shoyu raw soy sauce

Hi Lindsey, what a pleasant surprise taste! I had a spare avocado and some quinoa in reserve that I cooked up in bouillon. I had forgotten about soy sauce as a flavorful addition to a salad countered with the red wine vinegar. We wolfed it down in one sitting. Thanks!
I loved this salad, I added 1 heaping T of Nutritional Yeast to it, that made it taste cheesey. I didn’t have red wine vinegar so I added some brine from my Lacto-Ferment beets. Enjoyed every bite! Thank-You
Where do I get quinoa? I have never used it before, but really want to feed my family more nutritiously. Would walmart carry it and where? Thanks so much
Hannah,
Quinoa is becoming more widely known. Your local grocery may even have it in the healthfood or ethnic section. Certainly any healthfood store would have it, as well as many places online. Tropicaltraditions.com is one company I like, who I know carry it. The price may be a little high though.
Gail,
Oh yum about the nutritional yeast! Great idea and addition. And the beet brine too. Fab!
