Autumn Snowstorm!

A foot of snow outside our window!

A foot of snow outside our window!

We sure got a fantastic snowstorm yesterday and last night! I love the snow, and I always get excited when we get big storms like this. We had a foot of snow at our house, but other areas of town had 2 and 3 feet! When it’s snowy and gray out, I love doing cozy things inside, like baking cookies or reading by the heater. Today I had to go to work instead…a rather poor substitute for cozy indoor stuff. My real wish is that it would snow another foot and  they’d close the building so I wouldn’t have to go to the Halloween potluck tomorrow. Hah! Probably no such luck… 🙂

All day, every day, we were together…exploring our surroundings, taking pictures, laughing together. A far cry from our daily lives which seem to be eaten almost entirely by our jobs. In the few evening hours between job and bedtime, we squeeze in together-time, cooking, reading, computer time, pursuing hobbies, housecleaning, laundry, dishes, visiting family, gardening, etc! Time together — with those you love most — is so precious. Being on vacation reminded me how precious it is, and how much I miss having more of that quality time as part of our daily life. Something to work on, indeed!!
