Glorious Early Spring Flowers!

I had a wonderful St. Patty’s day dinner with my folks last night (corned beef, cabbage, potatoes, Irish soda bread, Irish beer, and a banana cake with chocolate-coffee frosting & green sprinkles!), and as I was riding my bike home in the peaceful night, it began snowing lightly. This morning at 7:00, the neighborhood looked like a wonderland! Here’s a picture, though it was much neater in person:

But spring is right around the corner, so after the snow melted I took a walk in the sunny afternoon to see all the blooming beauties…

ALL of those flowers are now in bloom in the middle of March?!! They’re just beautiful! What a contrast to your first picture of the snowy trees just the day before! Yay for Spring!

Yay for spring is right! And the snow was actually just the same morning as the flowers! Glad they survived 🙂

You take lovely photographs, thank you for sharing them. It is Autumn here now in Australia (today is the Vernal Equinox)and only just starting to cool down where I am.

Thanks for the close-up of all those cheery spring faces and the busy bee butt…I can hardly wait to see them around my neck of the woods. The Lenten Rose took my breath away…I forget about those beauties since they’re relatively new to my garden…I’ll have to go check for sprouts. Did
anyone/everyone catch the moonrise?…it was incredible here in MI at 8:19pm (DST)

Hi Kelly! Welcome! Happy Autumn to you. Where in Australia are you from? I’ve seen Sydney (loved!!!) and the Blue Mountains, which I thought was the most incredible place ever!

    Hi Jane!
Glad you got to enjoy the moonrise! We had clouds to obscure it, but it’s just beginning to peek over them now that it’s higher in the sky. Happy Spring to you! Hope you get to see some spring “faces” soon too! I can’t believe the bees are already out and about here. Spring is early by about 2 weeks here this year. The weather’s been gorgeous!
