Soggy Morning

It’s a day for wool socks, tea, and putting off errands.

The rain began ever so gently last evening around dusk, stopped for a while, gained momentum, and is still going.

We haven’t seen rain in so long!

Oh Lindsey, I wish I could join you for a cup of tea and a tour of your beautiful little plot of paradise there – it looks like you and the plants are enjoying every drop! Was hoping for the same kind of day here in northern MI, where it’s also been very dry, but after waking to a short shower it’s now just cloudy. Am still hopeful that the afternoon will bring a nice downpour. Maybe I should go empty the remnants in the rain barrels to be open for a fresh refill!

Ahhhhhh! At long last…there it is. Thank you for capturing it so beautifully in case it’s another long wait until the next one. Just look at all that free water!!

vern, Looook !! A whole new collection of photos. Man, these are the wettest photos I have ever seen in my enTIRE LIFE !!
    I LOVE’EM.
And it is shocking how close you were able to get to the chickadee. Wouldn’t be neat to know just why he allowed you to get so close.
    happy two hours ’til Friday.

Funny, as I read this post we’re enjoying our first Fall rain here in Athens 🙂
It’s beautiful, it is early morning, I’ve got the windows wide open and I’m enjoying the cool crisp air along with a hot cup of English tea and a warm apple-cinammon muffin…
My cat is running around frightened as he’s afraid of the thunders… lol!
I love Fall, my favorite time of year as well.

Your new home looks fantastic Lindsey, I’m so happy for you!
I’ve been following your posts regularly but, as usual, do not get that much time to comment.

    Hi Evi!
Wonderful to hear from you; I love your description of your wet autumn morning in Athens 🙂 and that cup of tea and apple cinnamon muffin! I was craving apple cinnamon muffins yesterday; perhaps I will make some.
    Much love to you,
    Lindsey

Here’s the recipe I use Lindsey, it is grain-free as we’re on the GAPS diet: http://nourishedandnurtured.blogspot.gr/2011/10/apple-cinnamon-muffins-grain-free-nut.html
    They’re sooo tasty, you wouldn’t think that they’re grain-free 😉
